Consent: In order to use the Ask an Expert service, you must allow the Stepfamily Foundation of Alberta to enter any information you provide, after all personally identifying information is removed, into a searchable library that will be available to others visiting the Stepfamily Foundation of Alberta website.

Stepfamily Circumstances: In the box below, provide a summary of your stepfamily's current circumstances. Include information such as: how long you've been together, your marital status, names and ages of people living full-time and part-time in the home, and anything else that you feel would help the Expert get an accurate sense of your stepfamily. Strive to provide enough detail so the Expert could (theoretically) respond to your question using only the information provided here. [The text box will expand in size as necessary.]


Problem or Concern: Provide a clear statement of the problem or concern you would like the Expert to address.


Type of Advice : Provide some indication of the kind of information or advice you would like the Expert to provide (e.g., to let you know if yours is a common problem in stepfamilies, to provide an explanation of the possible underlying reason for a problem you are experiencing, to list a number strategies you could use to resolve the problem, citing resources that might be of use for addressing the problem, etc.).
